At PMPeople we are looking for an Interim Project Manager candidate, an industrial engineer with experience in projects including management of civil works and/or renovations. The applicant company is a large American multinational in the healthcare sector. The position will be based in Madrid, but a willingness to travel frequently is required (when permitted).

Main responsibilities

  • Assist in strategic account management planning for key clients. Align resources to meet key milestones in delivering commercial proposals.
  • Lead complex implementation projects with high business impact, controlling work packages outsourced to engineering and construction contractors.
  • Lead cross-functional project teams (internal and client-side).
  • Assist and drive compliance with key client requirements.
  • Develop plans to implement business needs in line with guidelines.
  • Execute tasks on projects defined by management. Report to executive level.
  • Lead local teams and manage in line with resource capacity on projects.
  • Interact with resource managers to optimize project execution.
  • Promote good practices in compliance and governance of operations and projects.

Training

  • University degree or equivalent.
  • Industrial engineering preferred.

Skills

  • Good communication skills.
  • Negotiation.
  • Able to employ good interpersonal, verbal, presentation and written communication skills to successfully interact with subordinates, colleagues and managers.
  • Teamwork. Interacting with different levels of the organization. Ability to influence and motivate by bringing out the best work in others.
  • Able to overcome barriers within the organization, with other organizations and with virtual teams.

Experience

  • More than 3-5 years managing complex projects, preferably in a hospital setting with civil works.
  • Experience as a professional program manager or project manager.
